Vincent Paul Kartheiser was born on May 5th of 1979 and raised by Jim and Janet Kartheiser in his hometown, Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has brown hair, blue eyes and has a height of 5'11''. He has four older sisters, Colette, Therese, Elise and Andrea and an older brother, Nathan. Vincent grew up acting in Minneapolis in Children's Theatre Company and Guthrie, also doing some tours and choir. His very first theatre appearance was when he was six. He remembers running up to the stage where her sister was performing and the director shouted, ''Get out of the stage kid or learn to act!'' He's been a part of theatre productions like ''The History of Henry IV and V'', ''Rebecca of Sunnybrooke Farm'', 'Pipi Longstocking'', ''A Christmas Carol'', ''The Velveteen Rabbit'' and ''Raggedy Ann and Andy''. But it wasn't long before his talent was recoginzed and was brought to the big screen.
Vincent started trying out for movies at the age of thirteen and had very small parts in films like ''Iron Will'' (but his part got cut off), ''Little Big League'' and ''Untamed Heart'' but that was only the start. He starred on a low-budget film, ''Heaven Sent'' at fourteen but it didn't come out in theatres. His first major big screen role was in ''Indian in the Cupboard'' as Gillion in 1995. That was his first breakthrough role that lead him to co-star opposite Thora Birch in the adventure movie, ''Alaska'' and star in his own movie, ''Masterminds'' with Patrick Stewart before moving to ''All I Wanna Do (aka. Strike'' with Monica Keena and Rachael Leigh Cook. His more recent movies include ''Crime and Punishment in Suburbia''(2001), ''The Unsaid (aka. Sins of the Father)'' (2001). Vincent is also know for his role as Connor in the popular television series, Angel. In 2003 he worked in ''Dandelion'' and in 2004 he come back on theatre with ''Slag Heap''. In 2005 is released "Boys Brief 3" DVD. This DVD containes a short movie, Shakespeare Sonnet, where you can find Vinnie in role of Sebastian.
In 2006 we saw him in "Alpha Dog" and you can find on internet another short movie "Waning Moon". 2007 it's a wonderful year for Vincent, infact he enter in "Mad Men" cast in role of Pete Campbell.
Along with his acting, Vincent majored in history at UCLA. At his spare time he likes to read and learn. ''I think learning is such a great thing. I just want to learn and really just want to go out see the world.'' Some of his favorite writers are Dostoyevsky, Edgar Allan Poe and Shakespeare. But learning isn't the only thing he likes. Vincent is a music lover too. Some of his favorites are The Doors, Alice in Chains, Phish, Rage Against the Machine and Bob Marley. His favorite shows are ''The Simpsons'' and ''Bevis and Butthead''.
